HKLCA RANKING:
All sailors wishing to take part in the 2024 HKLCA Year Ranking require 2024 HKLCA Membership. HKLCA annual membership runs on a September to August calendar. If you have not registered for membership and paid by the first day of a regatta you will receive a DNC score for that regatta and any further regattas until membership is paid and confirmed. Only members of HKLCA are entitled to represent Hong Kong during the ILCA events and/or compete for the Hong Kong Sailor of the Year Award. HKLCA uses the Ranking to select sailors for overseas ILCA events.
The ranking file on the HKLCA website will only show sailors who are members of HKLCA.
HKLCA Year 2024 Overall Hong Kong ILCA Ranking System
The HKLCA overall ranking for 2024 runs from September 2024 to August 2025. The ranking system is run on the basis of adding sailors placings in every race of the ranking regattas for that particular year. For 2024, the best results from 3 out of 4 regattas were applied. The World Sailing High Point System is applied in scoring. If a tie-breaker is required, the Nationals result is used.

- ABC Southside Regatta (2nd-3rd December 2024) - ABC
- Hong Kong Laser Class National Championships (20th-21st Jan 2025) - RHKYC Middle Island
- Hong Kong Race Week (30th January -4th February 2025)- RHKYC Middle Island
- Hebe Haven Open Dinghy Regatta (11th-12th May 2025) - HHYC
There was also one HKSF selection regatta (not part of our ranking):
- 16 -17th November - Autumn Dinghy Regatta - RHKYC Middle Island
HKLCA Year 2025 Ranking Regattas are: (best 3/5)
Note that for 2025 we will start to employ a rolling ranking system so starting with Hebe Haven Open Dinghy Regatta May 2025 we shall be building a rolling set of the last 5 regattas from which you obtain your best 3 results. By the time we reach Hong Kong Race Week 2026 we will have a full set of 5 regatta results. If a tie-breaker is required, the HK ILCA Championships result is used.
